I am a Political Scientist and Public Health professional with expertise in emerging infectious disease response, public health policy, and asymmetric conflict (i.e. genocide, terrorism, civil war). I am a PhD Candidate in Political Science (defense expected December 2017) and hold a Masters in Public Health from Indiana University. In 2013, I conducted a 7-week independent research field study in rural Uganda focusing on the individual-level political behaviors of current and former combatants. In 2014, I represented Peptineo, a pharmaceutical company focused on developing vaccines for Ebola and Zika, at a World Health Organization conference of scientists, political and military leadership. I attended a second meeting with Peptineo CEO, Dr. Sheldon Jordan during a cooperation proposal pitch between Peptineo and the U.S. Army. I am a published author and frequent public speaker. My public speaking experience ranges from serving as a keynote speaker for the New York City American Red Cross to teaching college and graduate courses in Political Science. I started my career at Booz Allen Hamilton September 20, 2016 at the Associate level to serve as a consultant for the Veterans Health Administration’s Product Effectiveness Functional Review Team. Over the past year, I have successfully engaged with the client to produce several high-visibility deliverables, including measurement plans, baseline operational reports, and customer briefs. In addition, and as part of this contract, I have conducted over 80 interviews with staff and administrators at several VA Medical Centers across the country. Finally, I have served as a Subject Matter Expert for the Invisible Wounds Initiative contract in the Air Force Account, producing program logic models, providing input into research design, and assisting with completion of Internal Review Board packages. I possess an inactive TS security clearance from Praescient Analytics (April 2016).
